Since 2002, KKPWM has laid 2000 km of road length successfully in Bangalore city using 10,000 tones of the plastic waste retrieved from the city's garbage. Bangalore, by spending a merger additional cost to that of the actual cost of lying of conventional roads, has witnessed the enhanced road life of 5 years when compared to 3 years of plastic free roads, thereby, saving the cost on road capex and maintenance for 2 years.
We have got a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) since 2004-05 to till date for collecting plastic waste from city's garbage and mixing K K Poly Blend (KKPB) in Bitumen.
We have also established the network with bulk generators like apartments, industries, institutions etc. along with Mahangara Palike's Center for collection of Dry/Plastic waste from the source of its generation within the city.
