K K Plastic Waste Management Ltd is Bangalore based firm registered under Companies Act 1956 in the year 2002. We are the founder and commercial promoter of the technology — "Reuse of plastic waste in asphalting of roads". We are the only company with an exclusive patented technology of reusing the plastic waste as an additive in construction of roads since 2002. Our technology has been Patented and Certified by the Centre for Transportation Engineering ("CTE"), and the Central Road Research Institute ("CRRI"). Further, we are undertaking rigorous research on reuse of plastic waste for manufacturing various construction materials like kerb side stones, slabs, etc.

The Company currently operates plastic reuse/recycling plant in Bangalore which can process up to 30 metric tonnes of plastics per day. The technology of reusing plastic waste in asphalting of roads is backed up by research work undertaken by us in association with the Department of Civil Engineering Bangalore University , the Centre for Transportation Engineering ("CTE"), and the Central Road Research Institute ("CRRI"). The Company has patented this technology, and to date is the only company to have successfully commercially implemented.

The Company has received appreciation in many forums for successfully implementing its technology. The key ones are; a) Government of Karnataka Best Practices Award 2004-05; b) Green Leaf Awards 2009; c) Reliance Real Heroes Award 2008 and; d) Manjushree Awards for Innovation and Excellence, 2009.
